What inspired you to launch your own website?

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
My first website was KS Clothing. We first launched in July 2007; http://ksclothes.com/
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The website is our company name, which is our initials: KS Clothes (Keturah & Stacy)
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Our items are handmade and original in design. Pieces are constructed with the best materials and highest quality. For unique, fun to wear, fun to be seen in baby clothing, visit KSclothes.com!
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Our goal is to be able to do this for a living. We strive to provide the best products and it would be a dream come true to be able to make KS Clothes our full time jobs!
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
As we are a very new and small company, we are at an equal balance.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
We are happy with our site :o)
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Absolutely. KS Clothes would be a priority.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Parties/events to spread the word about our company have been expensive.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Our biggest challenge has been to get our name out there!
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
We have submitted our website to handmade directories which has increased our website traffic.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
We thought we would have more traffic to our website.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
We have had our site up since July 2007, and will continue to keep it up for years to come!
