Please give us a short summary of your website?

Rhetoric is an American clothing company focused on high design. Our T-shirts are born of two design directives. The prints are inspired by innovative examples of pop art, fringe sub-culture and youth. While our shirts are custom manufactured from fine textiles and materials including pima cotton. When combined, these two directives challenge the quality and integrity of all other t-shirts on the market. Rhetoric is founded on the belief that the X and Y generations have adopted the t-shirt medium as a form of personal rhetoric.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The desire to create t-shirts out of fine materials with out graphic prints that rely on text.

October 2008

rhetoric is the name of our company

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

continue making great tee's to offer our fans.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Alot of time is finaly paying off

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes we are underwhelmed by the economy and are sitting on quite a few tee's.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

SEO and SEM it's war out here.

What has been your biggest challenge?

staying positive

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

blog postings of people who have reviewed our site and tee's.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It's about 1000 times harder than expected.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
