Vintage Fringe Interview

By Interviewer at 06/25/10 07:14

Name of your website?

Vintage Fringe

Your name?

Krista Warnick

Your Location (city, etc)

Denver

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Vintage Fringe is an online clothing boutique featuring modern-day fashions with a vintage edge. We have found some great designers and search for feminine styles that are distinctive and not the same things you will find everyone else wearing. We have tried to make shopping at Vintage Fringe as much like shopping in a true boutique as possible, but with the conveniences of shopping online.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

When I lived in New York, I was working a lot and became an avid online shopper since it was super convenient. I realized how much opportunity there was online as a business. I love clothes and fashion and thought that an online boutique would be the perfect combination.

What lines and types of product do you carry?

We have a blend of known and unknown designers including: Ella Moss, Splendid, Velvet by Graham and Spencer, Sweet Pea by Stacy Frati, and many more. We love comfortable pieces that look feminine and stylish. We have a variety of dresses, tops, tank tops, sweaters, cardigans, and a handful of pants and skirts.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I wanted to find clothing that had a vintage style to it or elements of vintage fashions and then pieces that focused on details or "fringe" with a focus on high quality and distinctive pieces so Vintage Fringe was born.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We try to find pieces that you won't find everywhere else with a blend of known and unknown designers so we always have something distinctive.

What is the goal for your business / website?

We would love to become a first stop for fashionistas looking for great clothing finds and expand into additional pieces and lines including baby clothing, men's clothing and much more. Eventually we hope to open brick and mortar stores too.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We would add more viewing capabilities for our product images, more flash photos, more lookbooks, and enhance our site's promotional capabilities.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Absolutely. We have all of our product in house and would love to need to hire more people to fill orders and help with the site.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

We love shopping portals, blogs, and parties. They have been great ways to advertise and sell our product while also building awareness about our site.

What is your website address?

Vintage Fringe
