I have been working construction jobs ever since I was old enough to make a paycheck. Most of my work is outside. Living in California and having a job outside can make for a good work day. I LOVE my job. I love all aspects of it. Well with one exception. I tend to ruin a lot of my good clothes. I usually have enough work clothes to get me through the week. I wash them all over the weekend so they are clean for Monday. Since I work for construction I am not required to wear any special uniforms. I work in whatever makes me comfortable.
When I'm working on a roof I usually wear my jeans that might have some holes, tar stains, or just rugged and "bummy" looking. I am working at a customers house so I still need to look decent. So if the jeans and t-shirt are too stained and holed up, I have to get another work outfit from my "good" clothes. Working construction will sometime ruin your clothes pretty quick. So as you would think, I go though alot!
What I figured I would do, rather than ruin my good clothes, is to get used clothes for work. I went to the Goodwill store where I live and founds tons of like new clothes! The Goodwill is a great, cheap place to get all your t-shirts for work. You can cut the sleeves off of your shirts without caring if you ruin them. You can be sure that if you need to wear something that is decent for working in someones home your going to have it! Now that I have been buying clothes from the Goodwill I have not only been saving money, but I have so many work clothes now!
