What inspired you to launch your own website?
the fact that I love fashion and that I am 50 minutes from one of the fashion hubs of the world "los angeles fashion district"

this is my first web site

mmmmm.....I wanted the name to give the idea of what the site was all about
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
fast rotation of new styles, extra fast delivery time and excellent pricing.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
to make the biggest dress site in the web....... if I can figure out how to promote it. I have access to the newest evening fashions in los angeles.... is just a mater of getting to be known (do you have a suggestion in how should I go about?)
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
my investment of time at the moment is 100%..... money? what money..... but I am starting to see that my site is starting to function.....
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would hire a renown web promotion company (white hat only)
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
yes of course, I buy from 10 different manufacturers in the Los Angeles Area..... and there are many more companies that deal in the Evening Dress area, so I do have more places to go. Believe me, if i get there, it will be big.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
mostly the slow start of the web site (google did not index it for the first 6 months) and is difficult to be noticed in the web if you are not first page in google.
What has been your biggest challenge?
starting this busienss from "cero"... and having to keep a regular job to be able to keep paying my bills.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
believe it or not, when I translated my web site into Spanish my hits duplicated almost overnight.....
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
had no expectations.....
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I would like to build it up and be able to transfer it to my daughter 9when she grows up) or to my son.
