What inspired you to launch your own website?
The realisation that Kenyans need more variety when it comes to leisurewear with a Kenyan theme. Plus having a safe and secure web environment for all to enjoy the online Kenyan shopping experience that is Afrigear.com

Afrigear.com was launched over a year ago and has experienced steady growth on the online scene
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Afri - for African, and gear - for the "gear we wear".
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
We take a common, recognisable theme or idea and give it a distinct Kenyan flavour
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It is a struggle, especially in the early stages, but as the saying goes, when the going gets tough the tough get going!
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
In a perfect world, yes! But we have systems in place to closely monitor our growth. The last thing we'd want is to disappoint any of our visitors.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
As with any other business, the hardest part, I believe, is the building of relationships with both suppliers and clients

I have tried a wide variety of methods, though I do tend to find that word of mouth is great.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Not much to be honest. oing alot of research certainly helped.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
