Wholesale Clothing and Urban Wear Wholesale Interview

By Interviewer at 03/24/08 23:31

Name of your website?

Wholesale Clothing and Urban Wear Wholesale

Your name?

Sam Monem

Your Location (city, etc)

Miami, Florida

Please give us a short summary of your website?

As authorized wholesale clothing suppliers, we offer the latest urban wear clothing wholesale, streetwear and hip hop styles in designer wholesale apparel names like Phat Farm, Pepe, Request, Notorious BIG, Enyce, Pepe, Sean John, Ecko, Girbaud and more! Our volume buying allows us to obtain the best deals from urban wear brand companies and pass on our savings to you! We now carry kids clothing as an authorized wholesaler of boys, girls, toddler and infant clothing. Our wholesale brand names include Phat Farm, Ecko, Rocawear, G-Unit, Enyce, Baby Phat, Ecko Red, Timberland, Avirex and more.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

We wanted to allow small business owners the opportunity to obtain great wholesale clothing brands at a low cost. Our vision was to become the premiere wholesale urban wear company online.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

1993. A home page about me and my interests. Like a myspace without an audience.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We wanted to target the caribbean market, so we called our company Island Wholesaler.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We guarantee authenticity and back our purchases with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To keep growing our business and customer base through positive sales experiences and word of mouth advertising.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Every extra hour of work is rewarded with additional success. What you put in is what you get out.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

A lot of ways. I would hire a professional developer to customize every aspect of our business from scratch and take that concept as a blueprint for our site offerings.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes. We have the best team available and ready to handle immediate growth.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Well, mostly opportunity costs from having the same site for 3 years. We got used to the reliable and took less risks. We changed the layout and navigation this year and got a great response almost immediately.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Managing a successful business and staying as creative and innovative as when I first built my site.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Organic SEO in all the major search engines.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It is really hard work. I thought owning a site was going to be a breeze, but it is not.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

5 years and our current customer base is strong enough to keep us going. But we always strive to gain more customers.

Replace this with a question of your own

none in mind

What is your website address?

Wholesale Clothing and Urban Wear Wholesale

Wow! If I'm not mistaken Phat Farm is not just wholesale apparel company but a vision behind the hip hop movement started by Russell Simmons.
